Hi folks! This topic has no real value, it's just to settle an argument between myself and a cousin. It concerns the longest poker game in history.
My cousin stated that the longest game was in Thurmond, West Virginia, in the 1880's-1890's. It went on for fourteen years. BUT, there is a hitch. It was only played on weekends!! No action Monday through Friday.
THIS MEANS that the all time longest poker game EVER was held at the Bird Cage Theatre in Tombstone, Arizona, from 1881-1889, lasting 8 years, 5 months and 3 days!! NONSTOP! 24/7/365.
It was a $1,000 buy in game that took place in the gambling area beneath the stage. The waiting list was three to four days long.
So, to my dear cousin, I simply say, "Nyah nyah nyah!"
(But all in good fun!!)

See y'all at the tables!

I reckon Mark and I could break that record in a heads-up game!

When we gonna do it Mark? :-)
