Don't let it be said again that the pso doesn't listen to suggestions.
You folks have been asking for this sort of setup since we started last year. Very cool. |

One thing that hurts for me is the time these games are played now... With me back to work during summer months I'm only able to play the 20:00, 22:00 games... Now they changed the time so the only game I can play now is the 21:00. So that is the only thing I disagree with.. If you can have two evening games for us Eastern Canadian peeps that would be great!!! |

And I still stand by my statement. Since pso started last year, members have requested a tiered league. Now like staff says, it may take just a little time to get things smooth, but it is indeed a welcome change for most I would think. |

Ok, maybe I'm missing something, misread or couldn't find the answer but:
The leaderboard for the Premier Skill League will distribute $33,000 across two levels as follows: 20+: For members that have earned at least 20 but less than 150 VPP, a prize pool of $3,000 with a top prize of $500. 150+: For members that have earned 150 VPP or more, a prize pool of $30,000 with a top prize of $5,000. So say i finish in the open leaderboard high enough to qualify for the premier leaderboard, unless i earn at least 20VPP I will earn all of squat, yes? All I pretty much do is play the freerolls (mainly PSO) so I don't earn any VPP, so what would be my motivation to take part in it? Maybe I've just not looked for the answer hard enough or have put 2 and 2 together and made 5, but that's how i read it. |

Well that's exciting!
So those of us that are one of the top 500 who have 20VPP's in June HAVE to play in the Premiere league, and the top prizes go to those who earn 150VPP in June? I only have 50 ... shoot, that only gives us 3 days to make up the difference if we want to be eligible for the top 150 prize (rather than having to compete with for the top 20 amongst the top 1000 players of PSO). It's kind of exciting in that there'll be bigger prizes and tougher competition. And we get to play with the people from the Spanish and German league - jajajaja! At the same time, maybe they're hoping we'll start to find play for real $ more profitable than getting too dependant on PSO to build our bankroll? ![]() |

So in July we will start competing with the other leagues? Will the games still stipulate English language chat only? Will the July league use the new scoring system? Also how many spots will be paid in the premier division for 20+VPP’s? Getting 150+ seems a bit steep for me
Think these could be really positive changes, certainly shakes things up bit anyway |

There is no Premier League in July, Sam, it only starts In August.
And I will make a few observations before everyone wets their knickers with excitement: 1: This will not remove the weaker players, it will not reward ABC poker as taught by the school, and I can guarantee that within two months, the same people that have complained about the old format will be complaining again. 2: I played German freerolls and a few games in the German League and going all in with A rag seems to be the favourite play. Pokerstars even had a TV programme here called "Der Ass" (appropriate name if you use the English rather than the German), which promoted and rewarded this type of play and I have to say it was a poor imitation of Hachem's the Pokerstar. The quality of poker was equally poor. 3. The Open league looks ok and the prize money is reasonable. Unfortunately, if you place in the top 500, you go to the Premier League and if you earned less than 150 VPPs that month, you are competing for a prizepool of 3000$ with a top prize of 500$!!!! Quote:
3. The times for the Open league have been changed, anybody currently grinding out six games a day, will not be getting much sleep ![]() 4. I will predict that the same players that consistently do well in the old format, will also be the ones that adapt best to the new format. 5. The continual problems of collusion, chip dumping, announcing hands (real or imaginary) have not been addressed at all. I have no doubt that they will continue, probably on a much greater scale and that has to be sad news for us all. Finally good luck to all of you who are taking part, I can guarantee that you will need it. TC |

This is a good day to be a poker player here. I am really gonna have to work to get that ticket, it'll be worth it though, just to get away from playing with the donks. I expect a few donks will still get in.1500 players, I don't think we have 1500 non donks....lol
Finally we get a light at the end of the tunnel. umbsup: ![]() |

Is anybody else thinking that as the global game is moving to the freeroll tab there will be NO entry requirement ?
