Hello all,

Please feel free to use this thread to discuss the special Sunday Storm 1st Anniversary event taking place on April 15th.

About this time last year PokerStars introduced us to the Sunday Storm. Now, it's almost time for the 1st anniversary of this great event!

On April 15th you can join in the celebrations by taking part in a $1 million Sunday Storm for the ridiculously low buy-in of $11. That tournament will guarantee $150,000 to first place and offer $50 Team PokerStars Pro bounties.

Fancy a free ticket?

PokerStars is giving away free $11 tickets to the Sunday Storm Anniversary event. Those tickets will be available to people who deposit $50 or more to their accounts using the bonus code STORM before 23:59 ET on April 14.

The $11 ticket is a very generous amount if you play the bonus game correct. I'm gonna deposit the $50, get my ticket and then withdraw my $50 and keep it for any future promotions. PS have made the $11 ticket from me in rake in the past 2 days alone so I might as well take something from them

I've played it twice ... the first time was for the 10th Anniversary Celebration, and I set my goal to try and last past the open registration period ... and didn't make it

So I tried again the week after that, so it would put me over top my semi-annual $10VPP bonus, because I always seem to run lucky on the last thing I play before the bonus kicks in (sample size of 3), and used my bonus to get the bonus. Like I spent it before I earned it sort of a deal ... anyways - I got super lucky JJ>QQ. And signed up late so I could say I lasted past registration haha.

Not sure I would have fared so well if not for the suckout ... I guess that's why I'm not feeling so confident about a cash - but I guess it'll be great experience

Wow, the entries really puffed up overnight, eh? From 40k to over 100k!

5250 at first break.

Been involved in quite a few pots as I've had a few semi decent hands. There's a few bad players at my table (calling pot bets with bottom pair) and I don't really want to get involved in too many pots unless I hit really strong. It's no foldem to a raise so I'm going to tighten up and bet harder.

Phew, correct to shove? Think if I raise it to around 1850 I'm committing myself anyway even if an A flops.

I have 3 players 45%+ VPiP, it's hard to get involved in any pots with them as they won't fold. Tom Dwan is to my left, thankfully it's not the real one, this one's a raising station fish, chips been as high as 10k and as low as 700.

4050 at the 2nd break.

I've had a lot of small pocket pairs and haven't made a set out of any of them. It's starting to spew chips for me - I can't raise with them as there's always 1 of 3 players that will call me so set mining seems to be my only choice (I could fold but I usually have seen a flop with them).

Tom Dwan to my left is also restricting me but it might not matter as I'm starting to get into shove territory anyway. Just hope I get my chips in ahead and my flip if any holds up.

This tourney kind of reminds me of the depositor freerolls ...

Oh, that went okay, but I'm out ...

Won one flip to double up early (99>AK) ... then lost another to get eliminated (55<JK).

I wonder how long it'll take to reach ITM ... another 3 or 4 hours, you think? GL to everybody still in it!!

I'm gone, got my chips in ahead. Felt my opponent was decent enough that he could fold, obviously not.

Busted out just before the 3rd break, had just over 10BB left and shoved JTs from middle position the BTN called as did the BB was in pretty bad shape when they rolled over 77 and ATs. Finished in around 36000th. Not sure how good a shove this was, don't play much tourney poker but pretty pleased with how i played Also I managed to sattelite in so no damage was done to my BR.

GL to anyone still in
