Im not going to lie to you, I have barely played online before.
However i am a regular at the Casino and have finished highly some medium-high stake tournaments making a decent returns. Just the other week a couple of mates recommended that I should play online, telling me it should be easy money. The problem is before I fully commit to depositing I was wondering if anyone could start me up with 5 bucks or less (a very small amount to ask), and I will be playing in some very low stake tournaments.
EDIT: I have deleted some of the previous info. READ BELOW FOR DETAILS
Thank you in advance.

You should read the rules for the staking section first:

http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/for...before-posting!

That'll tell you how to detail your plan to sell shares of yourself and what returns you expect to bring to your backers.

Gotta say that it's not likely you'll receive any offers with zero history playing online and 2 posts here.

If you don't want to deposit, I'd suggest playing the PSO skill leagues and getting yourself some free money at the end of the month. Also, the Astronomer freerolls give you tickets to the weekly round 2 events that pay out real money(though small amounts.)

Your friends misled you on how easy the money is to come by on PokerStars, but good luck either way.

Also, didn't your first post say something about your one "mate" reading about PokerStars in a magazine? Doesn't make much sense to change your story... Or that you'd never heard of PokerStars if you were playing high stakes games already.

No I had heard of it but never tried it, until my mate convinced me it was a good idea. And the mates that recommonded it had read about some of the tournaments in a magazine, but they were already players anyway so I guess it was kind of irrelevant to say that

Also thanks for the conditions, but I am not asking for a high amount, im only asking for up to 5 bucks, so is it even worth doing that?

I have been looking at what everyone else has been doing and I have come to a decision that I will use the $5 if given to play in 10 cent to $1.10 buy in tournaments (not sit and gos since they give out lower prizes). After every tournament i play i will give 50/50 payout for winning. So basically if I win $6.25 in a $0.55 buy in, I will give you the 55 cents plus $5.70/2=$2.85

I would like to say one last thing. I know a lot of you are scared to give me $5 since I do not have history on the website. But look at it this way, I am a very experienced poker player at the casino and I am bound to give you a good return. And if it fails, what have you lost, a few dollars? If it prevails you could be looking at up to $50, since the small tournies do pay out well. There is always a risk for reward, except this case the risk is only $5 on your behalf. I am not looking for $20+ which everyone else seems to want. So just consider that before you judge.

Mike. How good is this mate of yours if he won't transfer $5 to your account ?

Now really. You're talking to poker players. And we're not the gullible type that might stroll into your regular casino drunk on a Friday night

He said he is going to roll me money but he never does and the other said he will give me $20 but hes overseas at the moment so that option fails for the moment. If I wait 2 weeks, ill be good but I'm not really a patient person. Haha
You will be surprised how stingy some poker players are, my 'mate' won 1500 in a tournament and would not even shout me a drink.

This is looking like a begging thread against pso rules. Make your offer and let someone approach you as that is the backwards system you are to follow. Imo, read this link here and comments made. Best to get some history and good results in some tournies as well as read the pso stake rules no doubt you have been directed to themm already.

If you don't want to be seen as a fake, then get in some results in free rolls and post them. Ask questions in the hand analysis thread. make your thread at a limit you can beat, with $5 it will only be limited to 10c tournaments x 500 or until $15 is reached to play x 25c tournaments. Playing shots for kicks 10c - $1.10 is milking us guys for duds and it isn't really going to happen. I am generous, willing to help new players but don't be making a crummy nonsense post of the bat and expect people are hunky dory going to shell out cash they earnt. Most likely $5 is between 2-5 hours work for some on there poker game, or as seen in honu stake he still hasnt made it after 162 games. So, get real then get serious and you might find someone wanting to take a punt.

The problem with freerolls is that you will see a lot of bad beats, so it is not really a good indication. I mean its all luck trying to get to the last 5%, with premiums like aa and kk, not being as strong with 3 or 4 callers, and sometimes will be sucked out to donks with 83 etc, although I have reached the last stages a couple of times, and I have played a few 2 cent sit and gos from this winning in the last week or so,but I seem to be running into the same problems. As you can see from my history I won 10 cents in one of the 3 sit and gos but lost in a 10 cent tournament. I think I need to play a few tournaments 10 cent and over to avoid this problem, since generally there will be less donks. The way I will go about it is I will play super tight at the start, and deal with the stronger players later in the tournament.
Also the reason why I suggested that I will play in tournaments with buy in between 10 and 1.10 was because the 10 cent tournaments do not run that regularly.
Thanks

I have changed my view since it seems easier to tell you exactly what I will play.
I am looking for a stake for 20, 25 cent 90 player sit and go tournaments. I will pay you 60/40 on winnings.
Thanks

Mate what is wrong with you. At some point everyone has no poker history. What do you think I am going to do with the 5 bucks take off and run. If i were to do that I would ask for 100 bucks. And mate this is not begging, I am simply asking for a little bankroll to get my online poker started and at the same time give people a chance to get a little cash, and also become a little more poker educated as to say, since i am typically a more aggressive poker type towards the end of tournaments, and people can learn from my unique play.

Well, despite this all seeming a bit fishy, I am going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Everyone needs to start somewhere and if he scampers with 5 bucks so be it.

I have staked a lot of people here in the past, indeed when it did not make a great deal of bankroll management sense to do so. I did it for the interest more than making money and being an active member of the community. I also had the opportunity of being staked on a number of occasions in order to grow a bankroll and it was a great help to becoming better at poker and growing a decent bankroll. Unfortunately, since prospective backers can no longer offer stakes, that avenue has been closed to a lot of players.

So I will send Mike the $5 and lets see how he goes rather than giving him a bunch a stick over such a small amount

Mike $5 is on its way for 20 25cent 90 mans 60/40 with stakeback. Post your tourney numbers and results here.

Good luck

TC

I am currently ranked 23rd/49, could have been higher except I misread the situation and overplayed pair aces with j kicker at one point
