Finished in 23rd, was short stacked so went all in kq suited, to steal some blinds. The big stack called with k9 suited and got a flush.

Lost early with pocket aces. A guy raised 6 BB, so i called, and so did another 2, and one hit two pair on the flop. I played them the aces a little loosely, I should have reraised instead of trying to slow play at the beginning, as i didnt notice there would be so many callers.
I think they were my first aces so far in any of these tournaments from memory lol Now #12. 546691871 |

got busted in 19th. Guy min raised i re raised another calls he re-raised all in i called, since he was a little short stacked, so did the other.
re raiser had aa i had jj and the other had kq. Aces won and the other guy hit his queen, which was annoying cos i only would have lost 1/3 of my stack if i beat the kq |

Hi Mike,
I think it is time to give you some tips because of the one game you cashed yesterday which I railed you have not adapted your style to online play in SnGs. Unfortunately you only can watch the first two videos in the Space Gravy series which I would advice that you do but I have condensed a bit of the info in the third and most important video. 50-100 to 100-200/25 Blinds Raise sizing 2 to 2.5BB Don't Open limp (although there are certain situations where limping behind a limper is correct) If you have 20 or less big blinds and there is already a raiser preflop and we want to play our hand the best play is to shove. This is because calling and folding is too much of our stack. Spacegravy's Basic Shove Chart: Profitable shoving ranges are way much wider than you might think, As an example with 10 BB in late position at a 9 handed table you are looking at A2s+, K8s+, K9o+, Q9x+, JTo+, T9s, 98s, 87s. In mid position A9x+, KQo+, QJx+, 44+. UTG or Early position AJo+, KQs+, 66+. With 5BB these shoving ranges are even wider. I will paraphrase Space Gravy's comments on shoving ranges. As we get shorter stacked and later table position our shoving range should be looser because we have fewer players to get through and the likelihood of being called is less. As we get deeper and earlier table position our shoving range should be tighter because we are risking more and we are more likely to run into hands that will call our all ins because we have more players to get through. Knowing how to play short stacked is the most important part of SnGs and where you will gain most of your profit. Additional to this info is the fact that your shoving range should change based on stack sizes, position and calling ranges of your opponents. Getting reads and ranging your opponents accurately is also important. One thing I did note was that Space Gravy always wants to have the initiative and if there is action ahead of him he is capable of folding even really strong hands if he feels he is crushed. By the way KQ suited is not a stealing hand if short stacked, if you have 5BB or less you should be shoving virtually any A, any K or any Q if there is no action ahead of you. Waiting for hands like KQx to steal is only going to result in you being so short stacked that you have no fold equity and end up getting sucked out. This may all seem to fly in the face of what you believe proper poker is, but it is the profitable way to play in online SnGs. I hope this helps and a heads up to Space Gravy for this info. Cheers, TC |

Ok thanks, yes it is a fair bit of a change from mainly playing cash tables with a set limit and sit and gos when the limit increases.

Terrible tournament that one. Raised with a10s like spacegravy said in mid-position, got reraised all in by the short stacked (350) chips left i think, I called, still maybe should have folded, thought i might try something different. Had another caller with 2k chips. The flop was 54K i checked, so did he. on the turn came a 3 the guy went all in. I had about 1k or so left in chips. Went for the fold realizing my mistake, and accidently pressed call... and lost. Was already angry with being sucked into the pot in the first place by the short stack, and then accidently calling ALL IN.

Hi Mike,
Well Done! That is fine with me; "topthecat" is also my name on Pokerstars. I was asleep at 4.00am so only saw the message now and for some reason I did not see the thread on Sunday or yesterday when I hit ´"last posts". If you want to run again when you have more time, just put your offer up in the thread or pm me. Cheers, Tony |

i am now looking for a Staker for 10, 90 man $1.50 sit and go's for a total of $15 (or however much you are willing to stake).
If a return is made, first the $15 will be repaid and the staker will receive 60% of the net profit after this, As you can see above I was staked $3.75 Gross Profit $6.52 Net Profit $2.77 I have also been playing on micro stake cash tables in the past couple of weeks, as well as live casino poker to success. ![]() |

Alternatively I would also be interested in being staked for 10, $1 sit and gos, for a total of $10 (or however much you are willing to stake) with the same staking rules as stated in the previous post.
Thanks |

I do understand that staking 10 or 15 bucks may be a lot to stake, when I have only a small internet poker history, which is why I am now asking to be staked for a only $2.50 for 10 25 cent sit and gos. The stake will be repaid in full first and then 60% of winnings go to staker and the other 40% to me.
Thanks |
