Yes SCOOP 2012 is here
Same as last year, I have the intention of offering stakes for the 2012 SCOOP Last year I played 20 games and this year I plan on playing 33 There will be 200 shares at $12, I will have 100 shares and there will be 20 shares reserved, leaving 80 shares available for anybody interested. Priority will go to the 27 stakers from last year. Here's the planned schedule ![]() For now, I just need to see the interest in this staking If anybody posts share interest, they will be put in a priority list Payment is through PokerStars, PartyPoker and Paypal (for our US friends) This was last year's thread http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/forum/showthread.php?33931-New-thread-for-the-SCOOP-stakes This is my blog thread since Jan 1st 2012 http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/forum/showthread.php?38383-Sandtrap777-2012-goals Everything will be finalized by the 22nd of April |

Well, emoticat trumps my "I'll let you know how many shares I want once I have $ in PayPal" by quite a bit.
Kinda shows the amount of enthusiasm and trust we have in this venture. This is a great investment and OF COURSE I want in on it. I'll be letting you know shortly how many shares I want, but needless to say, I want a piece of this. |

Hey Sandtrap
I'll buy 1 share. GL I've never staked anyone before, but your rep here suggests that you are a good person to start with. Roland GTX |

Hi Sandtrap,
I would defo be interested in getting involved, just have couple little questions, sorry if they sound dumb or out of place but i'm not sure of a couple things mate and pretty new to staking and the forums. What is the 13.8% markup for? Why are u reserving 20 shares, for who or what reason? What way will any winnings be distributed? Split into 200 Shares and returned to Stakers or ? ? Now for the business end, sign me up for 5 shares.. $60 Go get em Sand, GL GL |

Good questions, The markup was mainly to round up the number and at the same time it lowers my cost just a bit for all the time I'll be spending playing those tournaments. All winnings are per shares equally (cost is $2,400 and if I win $2,400, everybody gets their money back) The 20 reserve shares, like I said, are reserved for last year stakers, as I'm giving them priority. |

I'll take 1 share if any of last years regs don't apply.
I have 3 SCOOP tickets myself (won from the WBCOOP) but in truth I don't fancy playing any of them. They last far too long for my liking even though I like deep stack slow blind structured games. If anything, the share will give me an interest even though I don't want to play. |

I checked out your thread for the same Venture last year, i didn't read it all now, i skimmed over it. I am going to be quite blunt here, lol, Were u in profits for this Venture last year, did u break even or did you take a loss? Is there any chance we could be supplied with the figures?? Thanx Brian |

The figures are in the last table in the first post in last year's thread.
I am in again anyway, just not sure how many shares it will be at this point ![]() Cheers, TC |

Hi Sandtrap,
So i had a look over that link you supplied, what i am gathering from it is that everyone basically lost 45% of there original Stake in this same Venture last year? OK, not a big problem, i mean you could go out there this year and smash it completely!! Thank you for the link, i appreciate you supplying the info that your potential backers require. Another point i might put to you pal is from reading your threads from last year you seemed worn out, burned out from the constant MTT grind, and you only played i think 21 Events. This year you have scheduled 33 Events, how do you think you will cope with the strain of that many hours my friend? It is going to require serious hours if you plan on turning a Profit for yourself and your backers and i know your AIM is to definitely turn a profit. I am not suggesting that you will not play and try your best, of course you will, but after so many Events you just won't be able to keep your A Game going Constantly, will you? Maybe you will.. An idea i am going to throw out there for you is maybe play less Events, but Events with a Higher Buy in, smaller fields, less Variance and therefore a more probable % of making decent ITM finishes. Lol, wat a waffle, now, it's off my chest, tell me GET LOST if you like, lol, im only putting a suggestion/idea out there pal... Good Luck in whatever you decide Sandtrap.` |

Brian,
The difference between last year and this year is huge Since Jan 1st, I've been playing between 20-25 hours a week, watching videos and reading. I've played close to 100,000 hands at cash games and about 600 SnG's, so as for endurance, it's much better than last year. From now till May, I'll be playing MTT's not only to get ready for the SCOOP, but also the WSOP. Not to worry, I'll be ready |

Hi Sandtrap -
I would like to take a single share for $12 if still available. I won't have the time to play as many of these SCOOP tourneys as I would like, and only then via sattys for anything above $5-$10. Your experience from last year should stand you in good stead plus the improvement of your game as I know you have been working hard on it. I think 12 of my dollars being spread over a reasonable number of MTTs being played by a superior player looks pretty +EV. Good luck Ed from Edinburgh - EdinFreeMan |
