Devilfish Gaming plc, the UK based online poker company owned by namesake poker pro Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott, has announced the acquisition of the player base of Paramin Poker, a Hungary-based online poker site on the Entraction poker network.

Players from Paramin Poker, owned by poker portal Poker Akademia, have been migrated to DevilfishPoker.com and the two companies have entered into an affiliate agreement which is now live.

Hungary is one of the fastest growing poker markets, and Eastern European countries have recently seen a rapid expansion in the popularity of the game.

Paul Barnes, CEO of Devilfish Gaming, commented: "This is a terrific step forward for Devilfish Gaming plc. This acquisition adds a significant number of players to Devilfishpoker.com and we have also entered a new affiliate agreement with Poker Akademia, which will be mutually beneficial to both companies."
