Sat, May 11 2002 12:00 PM:Jennifer Harman Traniello totally dominated the final table of the $5,000 buyin Limit Holdem Event at the WSOP today. Jennifer took home $212,440 and her second WSOP gold bracelet.
Jennifer Harman, well-known and highly regarded tournament and high-limit cash-game player, has joined the faculty of Poker School Online. Along with Daniel Negreanu, she is the second well known professional poker player to affiliate with the School in the past week.
Jennifer Harman is an internationally known high stakes player as well as a World Series of Poker bracelet holder. She won the $5,000 buy-in 2000 Deuce-to-Seven, No-limit Lowball championship after a few minutes coaching from Howard Lederer in a game she'd never played before. Winning this event meant she had to beat three-time bracelet winner Lyle Berman, a man who's an expert at this game with thousands of hours of experience played for enormous amounts of money.
After over an hour of back and forth action where each player in turn took a commanding lead, Jennifer Harman won the key hand. While equal in chips, Lyle went all-in with a pat 10-8. Jennifer called and drew one to an 8. When she turned over an 8-5, Lyle had only one chip left which he lost in the next hand and Jennifer Harman had earned her first gold bracelet the first time she played the game.
Not just a tournament specialist, Jennifer regularly plays in some of Las Vegas' biggest cash games, and will share her expertise with Poker School members. Although upcoming major tournaments, including the 2003 World Series of Poker, will Jennifer busy through mid-May, she will begin reviewing the Beginner and Advanced discussions at Poker School Online and commenting in her own forum here,as time permits. Following the conclusion of these major tournaments, her involvement in the School will increase.
