Lou Krieger - Biography
In the early 90s Lou Krieger, who has been playing poker since childhood, began writing a column called "On Strategy," for Card Player Magazine. Aimed primarily at hold'em players, the column is full of advice for beginners, low-limit, and even experienced mid-limit hold'em players.
Lou's first book, "Hold'em Excellence: From Beginner to Winner," was published in 1995. He followed that up with "MORE Hold'em Excellence: A Winner For Life," in 1997. In 2000, the very popular "Poker For Dummies" was released. His fourth book, "Gambling For Dummies" has been on bookshelves since 2001. He is currently at work on two new Poker books set for release in Spring, 2003.
Lou Krieger has written more than 250 columns for Card Player Magazine, Gambling Times, Midwest Gaming and Travel, Casino Player, Fun and Games, and he is currently a columnist for Poker Digest. Casino Journal Magazine recently named him one of the most influential gaming writers of the past 100 years - an honor accorded to only five poker authors.
When not writing about poker, Lou can be found playing mid-limit hold'em, as well as 7-stud/8 in the card rooms of Southern California.
