Rolf Slotboom - Biography
My name is Rolf Slotboom. I was born in Amsterdam August 23rd, 1973.
After having studied Politics and Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, I started working as a dealer in Concord's poker casinos in Vienna and Amsterdam.
I became a professional money player in 1998, starting with low- and middle-limit hold'em, and gradually moved up to the big pot-limit Omaha live games. I have been a regular columnist for Poker Digest magazine for two years, writing my strategy column "Ace Speaks" and later the interview series "Pocket Aces".
I occasionally contribute to various websites such as PokerPages, ISA, PokerInEurope and Poker Network. I was chosen for the Dutch national poker team, sponsored by the Master Classics of Poker, to compete for the European Championship for Nations in St. Petersburg and I am the creator of the brand new tournament game "Potnopine Hold'em", which was introduced in Vienna July 2001.
