The "turbo" tournaments included in this 3-Part Series will require you to think and take actions much sooner than a normal tournament with rounds that are proper length. Multi-table tournaments are bit more tricky than single table tournaments in that when you arrive at the final table, the limits will undoubtedly be high enough to make most remaining players push all-in more often. Gathering chips in an MTT is critical early, but saving chips for a really good hand is as important.

Try to maintain patience early, playing top cards and using your position to accumulate chips. Others will be busy splashing around chips with marginal cards, so you must not lower your standards to get in the way of your success. Make sure you do not pay to much to see flops when you need to improve your holding and charge others a good deal more to see flops against you when you have a big holding.

Note: Challenge yourself along the way to see how you would have played the hands. See if the instructor can "outplay" his opponents once he has a read on them. Patience is the key to success, measure the patience displayed against your own patience. One particular hand (98s) should be a very good example of a play that we might want to discuss further in the forum. Shorthanded play is tricky, see if you agree with the end strategy employed.
