Every time you play in a tournament in The League you will accumulate points if, and only if, you finish in the top 15% of that that tournament. For example, if a tournament has 1,000 players you will need to finish in the Top 150th positions to score points. Players who do not finish in the Top 150 will not score points.
The scoring formula used is very simple and only considers the amount of players in a tournament and your finishing position at the end of it.
Points = sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)
"n" is the amount of players that participated in the tournament. "k" Your position in the tournament. (Winner =1)
Players are eligible to participate and earn prizes only for one level leaderboard during any given month which will be always the highest level leaderboard that the player is qualified to play.
In Elementary level you can play in as many tournaments as you wish however only your top 15 results of the month will be considered for the leader-board for that month.
In all other levels of The League (High School, University & Masters) the monthly cap of tournaments that you are able to play is 52.
To play in any of the Elementary tournaments no ticket is required. These are open tournaments and all PokerStars players are welcome to play in them.
On the 4th day of each month players will be credited with tickets to play The League tournaments of the level they are qualified and eligible to play based on their past month results.
