I miss playing live. But don't get me wrong, I love playing at pokerstars. , What I miss about playing live is the actual peeking at your hole cards, unlike in OL, you will see your cards immediately and then watch the action from there. What I learned from Phil Gordon's Li'l Green book is that you peek at your hole cards when it's your turn so that you won't give away any tells because it's either you will be excited when you have a great hand or look bored and itching to muck your cards when it's trash plus you get to observe other players on how they react to their cards when they peek. What I don't miss about live play here is what I call "Summary blah blah blah!". A player summarizes how he won or got a bad beat on the table, but man, it was like 15 hands ago. GET OVER IT! What I like about PS is that players here rarely whine about bad beat(well most players hehe). Like what Kevin Spacey said in "21" - "Win like a man, lose like a man!" - E-X-A-C-T-L-Y! I also miss shuffling the chips when you're thinking or pondering on a decision. So I set myself another goal for next month since Pokerstars has already paid my my "poker expenses" - an internet connection which is going to be installed today, HOPEFULLY! ( If you read on one of my post, I got myself on tilt because of that- they didn't install it because the rep who took my order got the wrong address)- that's $50(PHP 2k) advance fee and the 1/12 installment for the laptop I bought for PS use and entertainment- $37.50 (PHP 1.5K), which was charged to my mastercard- this was posted on my 1st blog.  Here's the good news about that- After I grind at my office, I can still grind at home about 2-4 more hours before I rest my poker brain, Meaning I get to play more hours and hopefully, more ka-ching!!!!

Building a Live Bankroll

After reading the bankroll management here is PSO, I realize that I was on the "serious player" category. Not that losing all my USD here will hurt me financially because I have a day job. But it will hurt my confidence in playing poker a great deal. But It won't stop me from dreaming to become a semi-pro/business man. I don't want to be an employee forever haha! I believe that poker will free me from corporate slavery one day and start a small business from poker winnings to cover life cost and just like the female PS Online team member(forgot her name but love her documentary in Pokerstars TV)- poker winnings is for luxury, Please forgive me as daydreaming is one of my major hobbies haha.  Anyway, What I plan to do is on top of my needed cash out (poker expenses) - I plan to build at least $200 (PHP 8k) to start a live bankroll. A man needs to get out sometime you know! haha. Tourney entries here are about Php500-Php1,500( I know it's cheap, I live in a 3rd world country but we are generally happy people here, believe me! ), I plan to play more tournaments than cash game with this bankroll, unless I got an early out and tilt myself again haha. I hope to add a "live bankroll" next time. For PS, I think I'm running good because I have more disipline and I study the game everyday reading some stuffs here plus I read 1 chapter a day on "NO LIMIT" by Krause and Carter. Till next time guys!
