To play or not to play...

By: 17Skandy @ 16:03 (EST) / 188 / Comment ( 0 )
Just cashed in the second PSO tourney of the day, which should bring my score to around 1816-1817 (prediction made with the aid of cyclist52's very helpful graphs!) and now leaves me in somewhat of a quandary: should I play any more tourneys...

I'm not planning on playing any more today (29th) and I won't play more than two tomorrow. Judging by the current state of the league table I should be just about in a $30 place, which would be a nice payoff for the month. Because I'm not planning on playing more than twice more before the month ends, I have no designs on a $50 prize. So I have to determine whether to play any more to try and secure a top 200 spot, or sit on the score and hope it pulls me through.

Looking at the stats from previous months it looks like 1820ish is the minimum score for a $30 cash, but this month the league seems to have been very congested. My cash tonight looks to have secured a $15 win, which is lovely, and it looks like now I'll have to wait until the morning to see whether I should be playing again tomorrow to try and nail that $30. If I'm still in a $30 place tomorrow, I'll probably sit it out and ride my luck, otherwise it'll be back to the tables for one last push! Funny business, this end-of-the-month lark... ;-)
