Emotional Tilt

By: ACEKINGPROS @ 09:02 (EDT) / 185 / Comment ( 0 )
Has anyone realised that when you go on emotional tilt, it is not just for one tournament? Your mood affects all of your future games and tournaments too. You make adjustments you shouldn't really be making. You lose confidence in your play. You play too loose or you play too tight. You play too aggressively or too passively. You lose your instinct to win. One of the keys to playing consistently winning poker is to REMOVE emotion from your game. Actually, I don't mean ALL emotion, just the NEGATIVE EMOTIONS (for example getting really angry when someone unfairly sucks outs against the odds.) If that means asking Poker Stars for a Voluntary Chat Ban, then do it. Do anything that reduces or (virtually) eliminates your Emotional Tilt. If you fail to address Emotional Tilt, you will never be a consistently winning player.
