Speaking up helps... (November Mission Bleh2)

By: Ashalina77 @ 11:57 (EST) / 357 / Comment ( 1 )

As you may have read in my previous blog, I was a little uhm... ticked off about the November Mission not counting untill I fully completed my pre-existing PSO Bonus.

Today after rereading that blog and rereading the e-mail I received from support, I went to look for the exact Terms & Conditions. Copy Pasted them and replied to the e-mail. Here a copy of my mail:

> Hi, I'm sorry but I don't understand. In the Terms & Conditions, the
> following is all I can find about pre-existing bonusses:
>
>
> •Mission Bonuses require you to earn a specified number of VPPs by the
> closing date of said Mission. If you have an existing Pending Bonus on your
> account when you opt-in for a Mission Bonus, any VPPs you earn will be
> credited towards the bonus that expires first. You cannot earn VPPs towards
> two bonuses at the same time. Example 1: If you have an active Pending Bonus
> on your account that expires on December 30 and you activate your Mission
> Week Bonus with expiry date on November 10, any VPPs you earn will first be
> credited towards your Mission Bonus (the bonus that expires first). The
> Pending Bonus will be suspended until the mission bonus is either cleared or
> expired, at which time any VPPs you earn will once again be credited towards
> a previously Pending Bonus. Example 2: If you have an active Pending Bonus
> on your account that expires on November 7 and you activate your Mission
> Week Bonus with expiry date on November 10, any VPPs you earn will first be
> credited towards your Pending Bonus (the bonus that expires first). The
> Mission Bonus will be suspended until the Pending Bonus is either cleared or
> expired, at which time any VPPs you earn will begin to be credited towards
> your Mission Bonus.
>
>
> Which only mentions the expiring date being applicable.
> The way it is now explained, any pre-existing bonus to which you have made
> more than 1 VPP, makes the mission invalid, as 1 VPP is always more than 0
> VPP for the new mission bonus.
> I consider this false advertising, which I'm not used to, coming from
> Pokerstars.
>
> The way the particular system mentioned in the mail is made up, even makes
> it impossible for any new, low-stakes players that have a first deposit
> bonus pending, to participate in the promotion and this should clearly be
> stated.
>
> So please tell me the Terms & Conditions are correct and the mail I received
> was an error. I look forward to completing my Mission after all.
>
>
> Polite regards,
> Ash

I could have yelled, but I thought about what I would write up front, rephrasing certain sentences to prevent a negative outcome....

And it paid off... well.. for me at least. It turns out the Terms & Conditions on the site are an error and will be changed as soon as possible. In the meantime, in my position... (and maybe for calling their attention to it) I get a  2nd chance. As soon as I have completed my mission VPP-wise, I will get my ticket.

So if you are in the same situation, speak up! I still think the "correct" system is unfair, and will let support know that I appreciate their gesture, but I'm not the only one in this situation.

Good luck and remember to speak up!
