Winter is a done deal and our Winter Fishing Season ended as did March. So now it is time 2 prepare for the coming Spring Season. Once the Winter Season ends all quotas start with zero shipped and we have until the end of March 2018 to fill them once again. The lake, Lake Winnipeg to b precise (9th or 10th largest freshwater lake on this planet) is still covered with ice but we r getting warm temps coming along with some strong winds so this will b a year when the ice will b gone sooner than usual and that may have the Spring Season opening early. It is controlled by the spawning, once it has reached 80% the Season opens a day or two later. It has already started to take me from play back to reality, I suppose I could put a lot more effort into my game and do the extra studying I need. Then purchase a few software programs geared towards those who want to play multiple tables and then if I was very careful I might make enough playing to get by. As I own the land I live on plus the 2 homes on it I do not need a lot to b able to get by, soon enough most of my food will b grown here by the wife and I and meat is always in the freezer. I am very picky about my food, especially the meat,I will not eat meat from a store because I have no idea where it came from, the same with most vegetables, I like knowing what was used on it (my food) while it was grown and what is on it so it will sit in a store for however long without going bad. A story for another day.
My game will suffer as I am not ready to give up work just yet, once I decide to sell out then I may look at this game as a fulltime hobbie to hopefully supplement my income once retired. Since we r self employed I will not have much income after selling out. I do believe we will b comfortable as far as finances go so if this game was to supply a little more it would b a nice bonus. My only problem with trying to live off this game is I fear if it becomes too important it will lose it's appeal to me. At this time I still enjoy it very much and I do not want to screw that up. So for awhile I will c all of you less than I have this past winter but I will b here whenever possible. Take care all, hopefully luck will ride on your shoulder just to make things a bit easier. God Bless you and yours, Len.
