Walk With The BUDA505

    by:Julius Pinson
Hey there Canadian and north eastern players of the PSO (and other’s if you’re interested). A live tournament is being held in Montreal, Canada at the end of March, 2011.  My friend and semi-pro, Jon Harnish, wanted me to extend an invitation to you. It is the Annual Miriam Foundation Montreal Open. This is for a great foundation, so do not let the other guys brand turn you off. It’s for kids with disabilities, so no brands or boarders here on this one, cool.
You will get to see and play many TV professional poker players.  How cool is that? You can all so win cash and seats to the WSOP. The buy in is not bad and if you get busted early there is a re-buy.  Further information on the tourney follows below.
There is also a forum thread under Trips Reports and Live Tournaments here on the PSO:! Post your screen name there and what dates you will attend.  This is a great opportunity to meet other PSO members. In sticking with the forum rules make sure your send any private information via PM.  It would be great to see a large turnout by the PSO members all showing their skills as winners.

Thanks for taking time to check this out and I hope you can make it. If you have any questions please post a comment upper right top of this page and we will get back to you. Good luck to all that will play in Montreal!!!!!!!!!!!!
Below is further information on what the Miriam Foundation is all about:
Proceeds from the Montreal Open will benefit the Miriam Foundation which supports rehabilitative, vocational and residential services and programs that foster increased socialization and community integration for children, adolescents, adults and seniors living with intellectual disabilities or autism in Montreal. Your participation at this event will enable the Miriam Foundation to help these individuals to develop to their full potential and to support their families in this journey.

Following is some of the history on the Tournament:
It all started in April 2006. The 1st Annual Miriam Foundation Montreal Open Full Tilt Poker Texas Hold'em Tournament took place on April 6, 2006 at Marché Bonsecours and sold out with 800 players. The 10 finalists traveled to Las Vegas where five of them won entry into the 2006 WSOP and all shared in a cash prize pool.
The Annual Montreal Open is bigger and better. It takes place at Le Windsor over 4 days and is the largest charity poker tournament in Canada with more than 1300 players. It comes to an exciting close at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas where 20 finalists compete for a prize pool valued at $250,000 and the top ten finalists received entry into the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. The first-place winner also received a special VIP package including a poker lesson with a Full Tilt Poker pro. The winners of past tournaments are below.
This year’s event 30 will be going to the WSOP. How cool is that? It’s a great way to get a seat and help kids in need, for sure. The winner of the tournament also brings home the Lawrence Taiger trophy.
