The Lonely Bottom

By: BawMe @ 14:17 (EST) / 345 / Comment ( 0 )

As of yesterday I was bottom 10 lowest in the Premier league. It is a feeling that I am soaking up like a sponge because It is a feeling I never want to feel again, for aslong as I live, if I can avoid it I will at all costs 8-O .

one thing I know to be true in every aspect of life, is when your at the bottom, there's only one way to go, and that's up. So I am very confident there is still enough time left for me to ascend into the top 500 and ITM for the month of November.

Now when things aren't going your way, sometimes you gotta change it up. I know the top players would say that you shouldn't be results oriented and what not, and should always try to play your style, no matter how the cards are dropping, and I agree with them to a certain extent.

In this instance however I felt like I have been doing the same things for pretty much half a month and it hasn't made me any progress in terms of leaderboard, so this game I decided to take more risk:

so this happened, I took a read, and If I was wrong I had more than a few outs to fall back on, when that didn't work either, I felt a strong follow through could do the trick. And it did. Also I showed the bluff to get a reaction, and that it did lol. Thinking this might be the game I could turn it around if I just play steady the rest of the way, and this new table image to work off I played a few small pots and then this happened:

now here I felt like villain was making a move on my blinds, and I should have the best hand most of the time, so I raised because just calling to see the flop, I didn't feel like there was a lot of flops I would like, when he turns over AJ I thought it was ideal. Unfortunately, you can't win 100% of the times in this game  . Even with the bad beat I had alot of chips left, and I didn't even feel tilty really, but to make matters worste this happens the very next hand:

So this hand I will definitly be putting int the hand discussion forum, but I felt I know where I went wrong here, yes I did get unlucky, but I felt I could fold turn and save chips. My first mistake was checking the flop. 2nd I could have folded the turn and saved some, after the reraise. I did not need to push here. Unless I feel my opponent is a bluffer type and even tho I didn't give him credit for the trip Jacks my gut told me he made a boat and so I went against that feeling. Oh well you live and you learn

It just feels like things are going from bad to worste this month, and I can't seem to get anything going. But I won't tilt, just got to keep on plugging and as I said I feel like there's alot of time left to turn this around. One thing is for sure, it sure is lonely at the bottom...

Goodluck,
