January PSO

By: Belnik @ 08:24 (EST) / 160 / Comment ( 0 )

I was back to full time in the PSO in January.  I did very well for the first half of the month and even got second place in one of the tournaments.  I have made 4 final tables now, and have got 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th.  By the end of the month, I had so many suck-outs that I wasnt even able to keep my score over 1525 for the month.  It's already happened twice this month, losing with AKs vs QJo and KK vs 88.  I am really starting to think that the PSO has some sort of handicapp programed in to allow the worst hand the best odds of hitting something.  I have been runner-runnered and sucked out on so many times it defies logic and mathematics.  In my total time in the league, since July, I have lost with the best hand over 60% of the time, and I have won with the worst hand way more frequently than the actual odds would imply.  I guess I will continue to play, but I may just sit out for the first hour of every tournament to allow all the donkeys some time to hang themselves instead of destroying my AKs, AA or KK by pushing all in preflop, getting me to call, then sucking out with hands as awful as 10 6 offsuit vs my AA.  Not to mention, how come when I try to play I get bomb hands that end up losing, and when I sit out and never play a hand I usually make 1-6 points for the tournament... This means that the PSO is playing way too loose if someone can get points and never even play...
