Micro Millions 4 Event # 001 and Event #005

Hello Fellows PSOers,

I decided sometime ago that i was going to put an honest effort into the Micro Millions this year. I played one of these events a year ago and didnt do very well. I never attempted another event. With a better understanding of the Events and how they play, I am giving it a honest go! Now last night after my day 1 MM 4 was complete and came here and wrote a long detailed Blog about the two events I played and how well I did, only to discover at the very end, when i went to publish that i somehow was no longer logged in! Needless to say that blog dissappeared forever......sigh. So this morning i am going to give you the " Cloes Notes" version only. I am also hoping to have some key hands displayed here as well.

Event #001 0.11 buy in 15k GTD. Entrants 75k

I usually dont play these types of Hyper turbos tourneys, they dont suit my style very well at all. But for a max of 1 dollar i couldnt resist giving it a go! ( I budget at least 10 rebuys Max for this one ) Lets just say i spent the 1.11 on this tourney and only got me too 26th ish, better than expected outing i suppose. Now we have learned that low limit hyper turbos are best left to those players that like hyper turbos!

Event /005 3.30 buy in 25K GTD No rebuys/ no add ons Entrants 18, 459

This event had a 5k starting stack with 10 min blind levels, ahhh more my style, and with No rebuys i find the play is better quality. Now with this tourney geared towards some of my strengths, I did have higher expectations for myself! No wthis tourney went well for me, at the end of the first 30 mins I was up 300 chips or so, which was fine with me.Now the by the second break I had 21k in chips, from hitting quad Four's!!!!

The next two hours i was card dead! i couldnt find any good starting hands to play, I mean nothing.......i stuck to my game plan, even when it looked like the game plan was going to prevent me from cashing. Thats when i woke up  with 99 UTG + 1 and i i decide to min raise to 2800, i was really hoping to take the pot right there, lol. Instead the player to my left  decides he is going to push his stack into the middle. Now i have a decision to make, with a decent starting hand and an aggressive opponent, i could have easily called but i felt his push was indicating strength and not just a play on me. After sometime I folded my 99, and that was  the turning point, cause the next hand i woke up with AA and doubled my stack! For the 30 mins following that hand i hit cards ans only showed my opponents the best hands. By the end of hour 4 was up too 76k, and was sitting nice for the money. Below are the 2 hands |i talked about, hopefully my memory was good of how the hands played out! lol. Enjoy.

Please feedback is always welcome, please feel free to comment. I do plan pon playing in alot of MM4 Events and i will post the results everyday, do comeback and show your support!!!
