Bobickle's dreams get slowly crushed

A record of why I'll probably never be a Pro.
Send PM

Been playing a mix of games $3-5 PLO, PLO8 and the mixed NLH & PLO. Also played and lost in the $2 PLO rebuy both days, with a min cash and lots of bubbley places with some outrageous hands in the others which has been fun. And when I say outrageous, think John Cleese as the French knight on the battlements or Eric Idle as the French waiter after Creosote's scene.

PSOL game has slipped from the dizzying heights to the almost was and very near the has beens so got few days to do something about that.

Watched a few more training vids to get to grips with this game called Holdem coz the rules keep changing. PLO8 making me suffer, I keep playing then ignoring this game for a while, then come back to it again. I do wonder if people realise that the low only gets them half the pot after the flop or if they just think anyhtings a bonus. Highlights today in the NLO8 was me shoving on the river from the button in a dry pot for 5.5K into a pot of 560 and getting called by 2 naked nut lows, me with the nut high. They put 5K in to win half of 560, ie 280 chips. And they didn't even get that. Do they not understand? Baffles me, I just watch the action some orbits, wondering what they think they are doing, or even if they are thinking that they're doing anything. Some say PLO is taking pleasure from pain, well PLO8 is much worse, a brutal game that I think I'll ignore for a while until I forget and get euphoric recollection and play it again.

Omaha Week soon apparently, dunno what thats about but looking forward to it. My advice is learn 5 card PLO & NLO, less peeps play it and its more fun than 4 card PLO so if you can gain an advantage in that game now you're ahead of the field and it'll still improve your normal 4 card game. Been playing the mixed NLH/PLO tourns, came 2nd in small field couple days ago and 1st today for small BR boosts, still behind on last few days though but thats the MTT life, win the smaller ones and bubble the larger ones or run up a nice stack and crash and burn, with tons of action in between. Just got to keep aiming at that final table and top 3, nothing else really matters.

So quiet few days, I'll leave you with the winning hand from todays game, I was praying he wouldn't bet the turn...
