A better day

So I sign up for another PSO tourney today (9/9). I am getting a little more comfortable being more agressive yet although still keeping it down a notch from what the school pushes. I don't recall a whole lot from this game as I was playing a 36 man shootout at the same time (made 3rd from pushing it all which in hindsight was probably not the best move but I'm not real good at spliting my attention yet). I think doing something else while I play helps though as I can make bad calls if I get bored because I just want to play. After I am out of the SnG I focus on the tourney and just try to keep my head low avoiding any big confrontations. At around 230 left I check and see that 117 is where the money starts. I figure I might be able to fold to the money or play my better hands and shoot for the top. I get KJ late and one of the early betters pushes for a significant amount of my stack. No one else calls as it comes around. I think about it a bit but I'd rather lose or place big, no folding to a place for me. He has K8, we get a K on the flop but I get a J on it as well. A few more hands and we are in the money. I start thinking about hitting the next pay level and I get AQ of spades. Someone pushes and has me covered. I figure no guts no glory and call. They have K, 10(I think) of clubs. I feel fairly good and then 2 clubs on the flop. I am calling for the 2 of diamonds to come, dodge the turn but the river is a club. 73rd out of 881. I felt like my play was pretty solid this go round, we'll see what the next tourney brings.
