Starting Out

I decided to go out on a limb and learn how to play poker... and by that I mean play well. I've played for more years than I care to count, but I'm under no illusions as to my actual skill level: one might say that I should have chosen a handle with fish in it. So, I'm going in and trying to forget everything that I've learned up to this point. I'm a blank-slate, tabula rasa, and make no assumptions as to what makes for a good poker player. Where will this journey take me? I certainly don't pretend to know, but I'm going to concentrate on developing my skills and not worry about winning large amounts of money. Let's see how I do.
