For the past few months i have been trying to apply a small ball stratagy in mtt, during that period i won a 6 seater tourny with a slow blind structure and really think that small ball worked well for this type of tournament, however i recently read a book called "the raisers edge" this book discusses a hyper agressive stratagy so i thought i would give it a go. I played in some turbo tournamnets with large playing fields and played for the first hour roughly 60% of hands mostly from position if possible. i found that aplying this stratagy  worked exceptionally well as asoon as my opponents saw me showdown a hand such as q4 making two pair they were afraid of every flop.as i could have hit any flop hard and they would never know, this combind with my loose image ment i was able to manipulate my oponents and woudl just take down pot after pot and asson as i got resistance give up the hand unless i thort they were just making a move/trying to make a stand. Befre i knew it i had a 30k stak and was in the top few dozen players out of about 3000 still playing.
I ended up only getting slightly more than a min cash when i lost againts 99 who went runner runner to hit a flush after i floped a pair of aces.
Neway i was just wondering what stratagies do u guys try to apply and do u often try to mix up and play hyper aggressive in one tourny and then super tight in others?
The reason i am mixing it up so much is because i am trying to find the perfect mix for me btw i will add that the hyper agressive stratagy is pretty fun as you are always involved :)
