2013 Starts Here!

By: Fadyen @ 11:47 (EST) / 416 / Comment ( 0 )

It's a new year and a new start for my poker career. As with many of you reading this I've been inspired to make some goals for 2013 by taking part in the Time Vault challenge and already it has given me a renewed passion for playing and learning the game! For those of you who haven't read my forum thread (found here: http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/forum/showthread.php?46856-Fadyen-s-(Time-Vault)-Goals-for-2013  here is an overview of what I hope to achieve in the coming months:

mprove in that department.

General Goals

- My general goals for the year are to improve as a player of all kinds of poker, my main focus however being on NLHE, Razz and PLO. This will be done by playing more, watching videos and going to live trainings and review my and others hands.
- Try different SnG's to find which best suits me and which give the best ROI.
- Starting with my bankroll of about $100, I hope to increase it to over 4 figures by the end of the year.
- Using sensible bankroll management I intend to increase the level at which I'm playing to a higher buy-in.
- By doing the above I intend to increase my monthly VPP's every month (which I will record) and get my VIP status up to at least a regular Silver level.
- Record and review my progress on a more regular basis in order to learn and adjust.
- Win a large field (over 1000 entrants) MTT.

Weekly Goals

- Play (when possible) at least 5 days a week.
- Have one day a week dedicated to nothing but grinding.
- Have one day dedicated mainly to poker education (watching videos/ live training/ hand analysis).
- Have one day a week with NO POKER at all. (rest is important)

Along with this I have been encouraged to write this blog to help keep track of my progress. I'm no writer as you can tell but to be honest I'm glad to have this blog as it's getting me fired up! I've been coming up with a few ideas to hopefully enhance this boring old thing for you PSOers who have taken the time to read it; As well as a monthly blog reviewing my progress for the month I hope to have a few installments of what I'm calling "Fadyen's Monthly Mindfunk/Masterstroke/some such alliterative description" where I will post about a hand or situation that has got me all kinds of confused or excited or has been interesting in some way. I may also have some hand reviews on my forum thread which I hope you guys will help me review as I hope I can help you all do the same.

Looking forward to the year to come, hope you are too!
