Upping the stakes

I set out to double my bankroll from $10 to $20 and I have achieved that goal, which means that I'll be hitting the $0.50 turbos. Most people would probably think that this BR management is too conservative, but we must remember to keep things in perspective. I'm fortunate enough to be able to make pretty accurate reads on my opponents, and despite that I was losing at these tourneys for 37 games. It all comes down to the actual decisions once you're trapped in those tough situations. Something tells me that the graph will look about the same at the $0.50 turbos, where you have to alter your strategy and ranges.

I'm going to look through the video archive to see what I can learn from recorded turbo sessions before I hit the tables. I hope to pick up some valuable tips and thoughts on general strategy and analysis on specific situations.

I have developed a greater understanding for the game in the past two weeks. Raising the bar from 25 cents to 50 cents may seem trivial and obscure to some people, but this is indeed a clear indication that I fully understand the fundamentals, and I'm one step closer to my goal of becoming a professional poker player.
