Agression is the key

By: Fllapy @ 21:28 (EDT) / 420 / Comment ( 2 )
My name is Igor. I have been playing poker for 2 and a half years now, and for 1 and a half of this time on stars. I had a lot of experience playing MTTs and big SNGs(180) normally. During that time I have tried using many different techniques such as playing tight, playing too tight, playing extremely tight. And apparently tighter I was playing, worse my results were getting. I have ended up having 200 bucks on my account and completely frustrated. However, recently I have finished on 27th place of a 27 hundred player MTT and have realised something. It is all about agression, guys!

I was pretty sad about my results lately and that tourney was some sort of steam reliever. I decided to play it agressively raising in the middle stages of the tournament hands I would normally consider to be a junk. Surprisingly it worked out well for me. I have succeded to be 3rd in chips, right before the bubble. I continued working on my agression and was following my 5 basic rules about poker, which I made long time ago for myself, but over time started considering them useless and outdated. I was wrong. And not following those rules completely gave me 27th place. I have made one big mistake which took big chunk of my stake. Afterwards managed to return it, but all in with QQ vs KT (which was part of a winning flush) took all my stake.

The point I am trying to make here is all the time I was searching internet looking for the advices and trainings which did not really help me that much. I should have been working on my game on my own.

This message is just a test for a check if blogging is working or not. If there will be interested people I am going to write about the junk hands and 5 rules that I have invented to imrpove my game. Moreover I will try to update you guys on my achievements with a new old style that I am going to use on the tables.
