FurryWallz slow climb from mediocrity

Day 17,18,19

First, as always

I haven't blogged the past couple days, I've been kind of busy, and went for a night on the town over the weekend. My bankroll took a giant hit the other day, but I'm ok with it. I played A LOT of tournaments, and came up short in all of them. I got it in with the best of them almost everytime, but coinflips are coinflips and despite the odds being 50-50 pretty much, sometimes the coin lands heads 10 times in a row. I'll keep playing though, and recovery should be imminent. Hopefully :O.

These 1 dollar rebuy 3x-turbos are off the wall completely. I think I'll be playing this every chance I can. For a decent player, who doesnt mind getting his chips in 52% favourite, this tourny is gold. I busted out last time with 99 vs KJ, but if I had to hit that hand, I would have probably went top 30, and who knows. Its a crazy tourny, its fast, short, a lot of gambling, a little strategy in terms of hands to play, but the payout is exceptional. 15k for first! thats madness.

Obviously, this goes against most bankroll management strategies but this is something I wont pass on. I commit about 10 bucks for it, and usually register just before the reg period ends, and just straight shove until I can build a stack, if I dont by the 10 dollar mark, I give up.

Hopefully, I can hit one of these crapshots.

Anyway, I dont know if I'll be hitting the tables today and Im aware I havent really spoken about certain hands played or whatnot in a while, so maybe, if I do play,  I'll update with some info later. Im not really sure right now because I have a slight hangover that hurts my eyes staring at the monitor.

Good luck to everyone today. See you on the tables.

Well, just after talking about the 3x turbos and such, I entered a 3.30 rebuy 2x turbo. I allotted 20 dollars for the tournament and squeaked into the add-on 15 dollars commited.

It was so stressful. We were down to two tables. and I shoved QQ and lost to A-5 a running straight. The very next hand I was SB and shoved my K-8 suited, and got called by AA. K-8 on the flop and I'm back to where I was before the the loss.

Later, we were 10-handed, and I was completely card-dead. I folded everything until I was down to 2 bets. Then my KK held up and I had 5 bets, then I stole the blinds with A10, and then pushed JJ and i was back in business.

We hit 9-handed play. FINAL TABLE WOOOO. Everyone was playing extreme TAG poker, and I got dealt AJ in the cutoff, and tried to steal the blinds with a push. If I got called, at least I had something of a hand. The BB had QQ, and had me covered, and I hit the rail.

Final table and I donked it with AJ. I left with 286 dollars made...,,next level was 488, then 750, 1000...and so forth. SOOOO close. first place was 5000 sure. 8 ppl seperated me and 5k.

sad sad sad. However, I played as best as I could, and left with a really nice profit. After the last couple days losses, and todays losses earlier, the bankroll is sitting at 450 dollars.

Going to play some more now.
