FurryWallz slow climb from mediocrity

Day One! 2-hour session. .02/.05 nl

By: FurryWallz @ 15:11 (EST) / 273 / Comment ( 1 )

Wow, the first day is upon me. Rebuilding is one thing, but rebuilding from 2.00? This is gonna be a job to tackle. I'm writing this in between hands so bear with me if it gets a little hard to follow. I'll probably rant if a bad beat happens or something. Alas, on to the task at hand!

Im starting my journey on a 5cent nl table. I only 2 buy-ins in my account but 2cent tables are just too too small for me, i'd rather reload then go that low. Anyway, I'm playing one table because i'm not a very good multi-tasker, and i only have two buy-ins anyway. So, Im playing with 2.00 at my table. Join if you like!

I like to start my tables. meaning I like to be the first person to sit usually. I love short-handed poker. three hand is my favourite so I usually score the tables for a a heads up match and let it fill up from there. Im planning on playing for 2 hours during session 1, from 4pm to 6pm local time for me. Thats Newfoundland Standard Time. I have to work from 7-11 tonight and I may jump on after that if I'm feeling it.

I think that blogging these thoughts and adventures are actually going to be theurapeutic and help with the process. I enjoy writing (pursuing an english degree).

I watched christophe de mulders 6-hand 6-table experience. Well, part 3 of 3 anyway, and the kid blew my mind with his attention to detail. I know he has a poker aid and such, but his reads are pretty spot on and watching the array of hands he plays and how he bets in that one little session really made me question my own game. I'm an agenda person. I have a goal set and Im either too tight or over aggressive. Im pretty pumped to get this game going.

haf hour update: wow. Just as i was about to say I had turned my 2.00 into 5, I ended up with all my chips into the pot and lost. Cant say it was a bad beat. Just unlucky. I played it pretty bad. over aggressive again. I could have just called his raise and saw the turn, I expected him to be drawing to a flush, and his hefty raise indicted that he probably would put it all into the pot, but I pushed anyway to try and scare a fold. Over aggressive. I'll throw the hand history down here now.
