Time vault - an Omaha diversion

By: Grade b @ 22:53 (EDT) / 712 / Comment ( 0 )

So as i said in my challenge thread.  I explored Omaha this week.  Took the quiz passed (83% I think) and got two Omaha SnG tickets.  So on Monday I fired up the tables and well, lets be honest I probably luckboxed my way to a win but I'll take it.

Has made a nice break from worrying about my 5nl holdem game so here are a few hands.

So I have come some way with my game I guess because a few months ago I would have considered this a good hand.

However this is hand two of the Single table Sit and Go (knockout) game so only 3 of us get paid.  If I was considering a tight game before witnessing the 4 players seeing the flop it just serves to tighten me up even more.

Villain 7 mucked a powerhouse Js 2d 4h Qs, but i'm guessing he will not be around much longer.

Now AAxx is not very strong but even though I'm tight I want action when I do finally get my AAKK double suit (or similar) even so happen to take it without a fight.

My first strong hand and we have played 3 hands of level 3 and lost 3 players already.

hand 35

A lucky result for me my very lag (75/25/22) happened to have my starting hand crushed although I would be interested in the equity I had preflop...please hold

(36% against his actual holdings,  63% against his range (if i used the pokertracker software correctly))  so given his range of of hands I think i was in good shape.

Anyway my luck did hold out, hit the lucky turn and was nicely set from there.  Will be putting this hand into hand analysis to see what people think.

after that it went fairly standard to the final hand....

It was actually a lot of fun $4.87 for completing the Omaha quiz oh plus $0.81 in bounties, Not to be sneezed at.
