I'm excited beyond words to announce the births of:
Andrew Frederick Roemer, 4 lbs. 9 oz., 18 inches
Brayden Michael Roemer, 4 lbs. 5 oz., 17.5 inches
Christian Alexander Roemer, 3 lbs. 13 oz., 17 inches
All 3 babies are doing excellent, all breathing on their own, all 3 had APGAR's of 9/9!!!!!!!!
Mom is doing very well... the C-section was a success and everything looks good. Everything literally went 100% as well as can be expected with premature triplets. They will be in the NICU for 1 to 4 weeks, depending on how they do. They're all on an IV now for fluids and nourishment, and the goal will be to get the IV's out of them as soon as possible and get them on mothers milk. Before they can come home, they'll be looking for weight gain and the ability to hold their own temperature. There are other criteria for preemie's, but they already look good on that checklist.
The C-section was scheduled for next Wednesday. She went in today for her bi-weekly testing, expecting to come home. First her blood pressure was high, so they ordered blood work to check her out. Then they were monitoring the babies vitals, and Christian's heart rate was slower than it has been, too slow (he's the one they've been worried about since late May). So the doctor said that's it, we're done, they're coming out today. I was in the OR for the whole thing. When they took Christian out, the cord was wrapped around his neck. That must have been the source of the problems with him the past few weeks. He's very alive and active in the NICU now... the nurse assigned to him said to me "was this really the one everyone was worried about?" I told her yes, and she replied "well apparently he was just kidding!" lol
Really, they're all beautiful and are in great shape for their ages. :D I know the love everyone here has been sending has been a tremendous help, thank you so much.
Words can't describe how I feel. I could win the WSOP 10 years in a row, and it wouldn't top this.
Thanks everyone for your support along the way.
