Bankroll Management - Part Do

By: IBNash @ 15:17 (EDT) / 269 / Comment ( 0 )

Continued from part 1..

I had always wanted to get some training and this seemed like a great opportunity to spend on poker training from my bankroll. Sadly I did not, I played 5NL cash and Zoom, which, unsurprisingly I was soon down 4-5 buyins. I stopped playing cash at this point and stuck to $1 180-man's.

I took shots (bad idea) at the Hot/Big $3/5/8 tourneys playing sattys to get in. It seems I would do well just to earn T$ from these sattys as the field can be crazy being Hypers but I don't have the BR for it yet. In the actual Hot/Big's I have been ITM only a few times. It has been -ev to tread those MTT waters.

There's such a wide number range of opponents and with 10m blind levels there's more than a few flips you have to win.

Braving it and hero calling early in the tourney vs maniacs and remembering they actually have yet to be dealt good cards. This BTN's VPIP was over 75%:

Playing wide vs Super LAGs has its consequences.

I definitely need to stick to and put in more volume in the $1 180's and have even stricter BR management.
