My Poor Ranking .

Hello PSO players ,

How to come to terms with a poor run of form in the PSO league , my first full month of PSO League action and all was going well in 15th place .

Then I begin to calculate the importance of each tournament in my quest to trouble the top 10 and secure a 'mega payout' , only to find within days I was just barely holding onto a 'Top 35' ranking .  Then .... disaster strikes - I fall out of the 'Top 50' and onto the second page of the leaderboard (a page I had no trouble getting beyond the first time around) .

Immediately I reason it is only a matter of time before I pick up the points needed to return to my once recognised 'Top 50' positon , only to hit the poorest period of Poker I have encountered in my short playing days .

My ranking tumbles to 94th - still in the $5/$50 prize zone and such is the rotten luck I was experiencing , the more tournaments I play the further my ranking falls .  I now write this blog having scored for the first time in many attempts , a few positive points towards my PSO league position .

I am in 128th place ..... feeling like I have climbed the league a little , 58 points behind my PSO League score only one week ago .

I wonder is this temporary , could it be character building , might it make for a better experience ?  One thing I feel sure of , my game needs remodelling to compete long term ..... and I begin realising a new strategy to refocus my tournament technique .

To be consistent would be a fine development ..... and a 'Top 50 ranking' just the place to start !

From a newly passionate Hold-em player .

Good look at the tables ,
