PSO Update - My Rise to the top

By: JBCD71 @ 05:58 (EDT) / 387 / Comment ( 0 )

This PSO League is fun.Its help me understand how every decision you make is crucial in your game & rankings in the league. It makes you make wiser decisions that  could mean going down in the rankings or upwards.Get knocked out early and you know your going down in the rankings, make it far in the tourneys and make it upwards.

I have now broken into the top 1000.I said earlier my goal is 200 and hope to achieve it.Thou the top 50 is where the real prizes are and would help my bankroll tremendously.Maybe the month of July i can try to reach that target.

Thou i been playing for sometime i feel there always somethin more i can learn or even refresh some of what i already know.I am looking to try to fill in my leaks i do have and be much better at making those hard calls or lay downs.I find sometimes my reads are correct in betting patterns of some players and tells they have given me on positioning.

Taking notes on certain players will help my game in the long run.For instance what hands they are playing when i do get the information.Plus of course how they are betting and playing these hands.

All in all its about my game and having the confidence to trust my instincts. When getting in the top 500 players of the tournies i find i am making decisions that are incorrect and hope they are lessons learned and dont make them again.

For example i was getting far in the tournament and got very lucky along the way and even cameback with a stack of 400 chips and managed to turn it into a 20,000 stack with some all ins and good rush of cards along the way in a very short period. The one problem i made was a  crucial mistake when i got QQs and my opponent had pocket 99s.I put him all in after the flop which seemed to be the right decision, until the river came and he hit his 2 outer.Sure i know what your saying ...you did make the right decision, maybe your right and i just got unlucky or vice versa and my opponent got lucky.

Looking back at the hand i try to look at it if i was to fold and not of gone all in and did a hero fold.I still would of had most of my stack and went on in the tournament with the blinds still roughly small. My ranking would of been higher and i still would have a chance to make it far in the tournament or maybe even win it .Working on this decision making at crucial times will eventually make me more of a player to be reckoned with.

This challenge will be fun to try to get there.

Remember Play Cool,Play Hard & Most importantly have fun.

See you at the felts.
