10 of 10 PSO Tournament Secrets to Success

By: Juan Tabone @ 18:03 (EST) / 536 / Comment ( 0 )
To spend hours and hours playing PSO tournaments is a great way to learn how to play in big tournaments (although the play is somewhat unrealistic as no money is invested by each player). But when you look at the math, just like calculating pot odds, it doesn't make sense to play for more than a month or two. For example, take the player II Cote II, he's probably one of the most successful players in the PSO winning $2100 since July. Sure that sounds good but he had to play 400 PSO tournaments over the 4 months, which means he made $5.25 per tournament. It usually takes about 4 1/2 hours for a PSO tournament to finish so say he played an average of 2 hours per time, he was making $2.63 and hour. Flipping burgers at McDonalds pays more than that! Learn the game, play the tournaments but if you want to get paid for your time, deposit monies and play for real (or get a minimum wage job). Good luck to everyone and I hope these secrets will get you where you want to go with poker!
