Hello everybody,
my name is Pierluigi, I am a not "so much" young guy from Italy, who moved to Manchester UK to find a better chance to find a job and to play some good poker against player from all over the world.

I have started this blog because I have always wanted to share my thoughts and my experiences about poker and life in general with other people, trying to find some advices and maybe to give some as well.  So I'll try my best and see how it goes
As my first post I'll try to summarize all my life until now, trying to not be too much boring:

I was born 27 years ago in Rome, Italy, I wonderful city to see but really difficult for me to live in... I' ve always lived with my family: my mother, Elvira, 68, my father Pasquale, 57 and my sister Pamela, 29.

My parents didn't have so much money, that's because my mother left her job to take care of me and my sister when I was born, we have had to do some sacrifice when I was a child but in the end I have never missed anything of so important in my life and I have also learned something from that experience as well.
After graduating at high school I have started my university studies in literature and philosophy to become a journalist or a critic in the music industry, because when I was 15 years old I fell in love for music and started to play the guitar, dreaming to be become a rockstar like Kurt Cobain
Anyway during my university career I have started to play Magic The Gathering with some decent results but I have never give all I can, because in the meanwhile I had known Valentina, the love of my life ( I hope) and I have spent most of my time and energy with her, and I'll never regret that decision. Other than I have started to search for a job to pay some of my expenses, help my family and buy some stupid things for me.

So in 2007 I had found a job as a team member in a multiscreen cinema near my house. I started to work part-time, with the intention of continuing my studies in the meanwhile, but in the end I fell lost into it and started to work full time, leaving my studies in stand by.
My work experience hasn't been so simple, I have been trough some difficult moments and I have done a lot of sacrifice for it, but I don't regret this job, because I have learned a lot about life and my country as well, and I have done the best I could to be a good worker, maybe even too much. In the end it has been a good experience and I have had to opportunity to know some great people and some not.
In October 2011 I quit my job because I felt that that wasn't my "life", I didn't recognize my self anymore, the stupid and dreaming 15 years old Pierluigi, who wanted to become a rock star and change the world.

So after quitting my job I finished my university study and in July 2012 I have finally taken my degree, but in the meanwhile I also decided to leave my country. This because there weren't too much opportunity, especially for my kind of studies in Italy and also because I wanted to see how it was like to live in a different country and to make a different experience.

For this reason during the summer I have travelled to London and Hannover, to see with my girlfriend where we could go in October/November. At first we had decided to move to London, because it was easier for both of us, since we have a basic knowledge of english and the city was full of life and things to do. But in the end we decided to move to Manchester because a friend of us was going back there after she had lived  there for 3 years and she could help us in finding an apartment, writing a CV, moving around, etc. and also because the life was less expensive

So the 28 of November I have finally landed in Manchester with some money and some baggages full of dreams and fears as well. I have to say that I really like the city and the people who lives here and for the moment I am trying to look around for a job but enjoing the city and trying to understand how to live like a real UK citizen.

In the end my life until now hasn't been neither so good or bad, I can say in average from my point of view, even if I have been trough a lot of really bad moments and I have passed the last two 2 years being depressed and stopped to believe in myself I know that there are a lot of people who have more problems than me and that if stay there crying on myself without doing anything nothing's gonna change. I know that are a lot of people who felt depressed and lost during the course of their life but I think that it's normal, because life isn't easy at all, and I hope that trough my blog I can help people who are giving up on their dreams, in poker and life as well but also the encourage myself as well, by telling my "adventure" day after day.

So feel free to follow me and judge me by saying anything, I am looking forward to know a lot of people and share opinion to help each other out.

Well know I know that if you are (still) reading this post, you are asking yourself: "WHERE IS THE POKER IN THIS BLOG?!?!?!?!? This guy is crazy..."

Well about my "poker career" I want to write down a post only for that (even because it's really late), explaining my background, my goals and what I am expecting from this game as well.
