To Be or Not To Be: Day 1

By: KumarLuv @ 18:45 (EDT) / 220 / Comment ( 4 )

Not a good start to the challenge. Ending the day 4 hours earlier than planned becuase:

1. Villains showing up on top of their range most of the time

2. Probability being cruel and board crushing me even when I have better cards while shoving

3. Don't want to get on tilt and lose more.

Daay 1 ends with my bankroll down to $27.75 (from $30). Played a total of 12 90 player SnGs and did not finish even one of them in the money, (average position: 45). Played a few hands on cash table to get the all-in shootout ticket - that made up for a tiny bit of the loss.

Poker gods weren't kind today - when I folded preflop I ended up with quads (22), full house (99) or straight flush (67s). But when I shoved with AK or KK or JJ, I eneded up losing to weaker starting hands. The folded quads happened in the very first game of the day - I should have seen the signs and left even earlier.

Nevermind. I would play longer when I have a good run.
