Run Around - November Review

By: Low Rated @ 11:37 (EST) / 273 / Comment ( 2 )

November, what a month it was. Initially I was making some steady gains and finally escaped my break even slump. In order to reduce the impact of negative or positive sessions had on my emotional state when playing I would only look at my results once every week. This worked very well for me as I was able to play eash session without being results oriented and afterwards could say if I genuinly if I played well or otherwise. At the end of the third week of the month I was about 11 buy-ins profit [$176] which I felt pretty good about considering the rough patch I have been in for a while now.

A day or two later while playing, I noticed myself losing what felt like every pre-flop all in situation I was in. Sometimes it was you're standard coinflips like or I was the favorite/underdog at other times but I just felt like everything was going aginst me. I felt myself tilting. I was playing poorly and making bad desisions and was losing alot, even against players that I'm supposed to be making the most money from - It felt pretty bad.

Im not feeling very well at the moment so I will get right to it, after about two days I checked my results and saw that I had lost all my profit for the month and was $8 down for the month. It was depressing at that time and I did not even feel like playing anymore. Im most likely going to look back on this month and laugh in the future as I have become acoustomed to these things happening and I am sure that I will be able to regain the money that sliped though my fingers this month.

[Previous Bankroll - $669.52]
[Current Bankroll - $646.00]

So next month I have some catching up to do. I will try my best to bring my A-game to the tables as much as I can and hopefully run good as well. December means its almost been a year since I started playing Cash Games after deciding to take poker seriously, hopefully I will be able to celebrate this aniversary with some results. Until then GL and thanks for reading.

A few days have passed since I wrote this and as it is the 30th of November
