Wrong Time To Shove

I only played the 10pm tourney tonight as I lost track of time and missed the 8pm.  I did fairly well finishing in 51 place.  Not as good as I feel I could have placed, but I hit a bad dry spell for the whole hour.  I was catching nothing but rags.  I wasn't really hurting even after that I still had about 40K in chips.

However in the late position with only 1 limper I bet out with a Kd/Qd suited for 4X BB.  The limper called.  Board was 4d/5c/Jd Rainbow. This was a pretty good flop for me as I only needed to catch 1 of the remaining diamonds on the turn or the river.  I felt really good about the hand and pushed all-in.  I got instantly called.  My oppenent had pocket 5's giving him trips off the flop and neither of them were a diamond.

The turn comes a 7h and the river a Ks.  Crap!  Ohhh well, that is poker I guess.  Towmorrow is another day.

On the points side of thing I am doing better and my mediocre 8pm tourney finish didn't really hurt me much, I think I dropped less than 1 point, while my 40th place finish in the 10pm gave me like 36 points.  At least now that my games are back to a more nomal level things are picking up.  Week 2 of the March PSO is looking a whole lot better than the first week.
