Mohasaba's Life on PokerStars

Playing badly

By: Mohasaba @ 22:35 (EST) / 235 / Comment ( 0 )

For the last week I seem to be playing badly. In part it has to do with being frustrated and tired. For some reason I went from playing ok, and usually placing to loosing every game. I could have a great hand, or but the flop would have nothing to do with the cards in my hand. Or I would have what seemed to be the best hand, only to have the river card give the other player exactly what they needed.

I started to feel that I could have 4 of a kind Aces and the ace that gave me the 4 of a kind would give the othe player a Royal Flush. What made it worse was that almost every hand I did not call (but wanted to) I would have won. Other players where all over the place betting.  At times I just sat there as people called all in every single hand. Eventually I would get frustrated, see a good hand, call and die quickly when the river card hit.

I have gone through most of my money in a few days. Not that I usually have much in my bank so it only took a couple of bad games to make a big dent into it.  Solution - I moved to the 10 cent tournaments. Now I am playing with playmoney and on freeroles until I feel better.

Right now something is off with my game. The funny part is that I am so frustrated, I just don't care. So I am actually playing very badly on the freeroles and playmoney games. I am hoping to get this out of my system, start playing better again and then get back to the money tournaments, maybe build my pot/bank back up.

I know enough to stop playing with real money when things start going bad. Now lets see how long it is gong to take me to start playing well again. :-P
