As of now I am starting a blog. I decided to send it public as others maybe in the same boat as me. I have just started uni (college) and looking for a second source of income as well as my part time job at a local supermarket. As a newbie to the game I have a read about poker through a book lent to me from a friend. Its called 52 tips about poker by Lou Krieger. I have played a few home games with mates but as for my experience with poker that's how far it goes. I played a small bit of poker on another website for a few weeks and cashed out a profit of 10 pounds   I mainly played 9 player Sit 'n' Goes (about $3 buyin)

So after hearing some bad press about the website I thourght it would be a good idea to try out Pokerstars as the reputation seems to be great.

So begins my Pokerstars journey. I feel I have finally got the funidmental parts of the game (so i think) and had a nice start to the tables. I deposited 20 pounds and won a satellite game which I was very pleased with allowing me to compete in the Sunday Millions tourny (usually a $11 buyin) but unfortunately things seem to go downhill from there. I have been playing in MTT's and even tried a few more satillites. I believe I have either hit my first downswing already? or perhaps need to study my game a bit more. Either way I'm heading to the cashier tomorrow, with a box of tissues and head in hands.

So my resolutions so far is to study more either online or through another book with my new library card (which makes me 20% cooler) and to start this blog! with the hope that fellow hold'em'ers can relate to and perhaps help me! or vice versa!

Tips for Improvement (for me and possible others who may need it)

- Be Selective but be Aggresive.

- Try Decipher what oppenents have, through their bets, Position, Flop layout etc.

- Build bankroll, better bank mangement.....need to look into this!!

Thats all Folks, Good luck at the tables.
