Where have I been?

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted.

Truth is I'm rarely playing on Pokerstars but I am playing higher volume and stakes on another network. I find a €10 game ($15) the same standard as a $1.50 game on Pokerstars. In saying that I still play the Pokercast game and I will come back to Stars eventually. I'm playing up to 10 tables at a time for longer periods than I did before although I still suffer from a few mental game issues even though I've conquered most of my problems thanks to Jared Tendlar's input (I still haven't read all his book though)

I've also had my biggest score on Pokerstars when I decided to play a $5 double stack MTT at 11pm on a Friday night. I thought it would last until 3am but at 7am I succumbed to sleep and blinded out after being chip leader to finish 4th for $143. Still it was nice to get the bigger score. I've whinged about variance but that score goes some way to even it up.

I need to come back here at some stage, at €20 ($30) games on the other network there are a couple of decent players and the player pool is pretty small. They don't scare me but it's senseless 4 or 5 of us all at the same standard or better than me playing for 2 prizes. I've always said that Table selection is the single most important thing that can help your win-rate. On Stars at $30, the standard is very high (probably higher than on my other site) but the player pool is a lot wider. You can table select and avoid the very best players or pick a fishier game. Unfortunately I don't have the bankroll on Stars to tackle them.

You don't have to be the best player in the World to make money at poker, just better than the opponents you are playing.

Until next time, good luck at the tables
