Guaranteed prize pool for the PokerStars-sponsored UK & Ireland Poker Tour Nottingham Main Event, which takes place next week from April 12-19. The buy-in is £1,100 and organisers are hoping to beat last year’s mammoth field of 1,223 players, which set a prize record for the tour. There are a total of nine events at the festival, including a £3,200 High Roller and a £330 Nottingham Cup.

Season 9 of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour continues this week in Seoul, South Korea. The Paradise Walkerhill Casino plays host to a six-tournament festival, which includes a KRW 3,000,000 (approx. US $2,750) buy-in Main Event from April 9-12. There is also a KRW 6,000,000 High Roller event.

In a series of games, key poker skills like detection, bravery, logic, bluffing and quick thinking are put to the test and turned into a Poker IQ, before players then enter The Playroom and get chance to play a real hand of poker.
