Here's some of the more interesting numbers that caught PokerStars attention this week.

Guaranteed prize pool in the third WCOOP Challenge Series, which begins today  (August 1) and runs until Sunday, August 3. There are a total of nine events, including the $2m guaranteed Main Event on August 3 at 15.30 ET. In addition to the huge prize money to be won in each tournament, every winner will also receive a $5,200 ticket to the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event, which takes place on September 28.

Total number of entries in the latest MicroMillions championship, which finished last weekend. The total prize money awarded across the 100 events was an amazing $7,817,621.28, with Russian player ‘Inzyh’ named Player of the Series.

Buy-in to the 21st Macau Poker Cup: Red Dragon event that takes place at PokerStars LIVE Macau from August 8-13. The wider MPC festival begins today and finishes on August 17, with a total of 14 events, including an HK $80,000 High Roller.

Number of players in the PokerStars.net-sponsored 2014 Beijing Millions event, which earlier this week set a new record for largest live poker event held outside of the USA. The event featured six Day 1 flights and  was won by China’s Chen Qin for ¥675,000 (approx. US $110k).

Buy-in for The Protégé qualifying tournaments that are running on PokerStars until August 3. Play in one of the four daily tournaments – Eugene (13.00 ET), ElkY (14.00 ET), Vanessa (17.00 ET), Andre (18.00 ET) – and in addition to the normal prize pool, the top two players in each event will be invited to produce a one-minute video explaining why they should be chosen to be a protégé to a Team PokerStars Pro. The four Pros will then whittle the 112 entrants down to eight, before the final four are selected by public vote. The winners will receive training and buy-ins to three World Championship of Online Poker events, including the $5,200 Main Event.

Fabian Ortiz became the second two-time Latin American Poker Tour Main Event winner last weekend after he won the LAPT Panama stop for a first prize of $143,930. The first two-time winner was Team PokerStars Pro Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero.
