Guaranteed prize pool for the 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker, which kicks off in just 10 days’ time on PokerStars. The biggest and richest online poker tournament championship takes place from May 10-24 and features 46 events at three different buy-in levels – Low, Medium and High. Satellite qualifiers to all the events are running around the clock from just $1 or 1 FPP.

Prize won on Tuesday night by Polish player ‘bladsonpoker’ in a $5 Spin & Go tournament. The player became the second person in the space of a week to become a millionaire during the ‘PokerStars Makes Millionaires’ promotion. Incredibly, the player continued playing a $4.40 tournament until he was knocked out 90 minutes later. Blog report:

Buy-in to the France Poker Series Monaco Main Event, which got under way yesterday and has got the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final stop well and truly started. A total of 265 players bought in on Day 1a with hundreds more expected today.

Number of tournaments taking place at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final, which is now under way and finishes on May 8. The 11-day festival features a €10,600 EPT Main Event, three High Roller tournaments (€100k, €50k and €25k), a €1,100 France Poker Series Main Event, and a range of lower buy-in tournaments starting at €100.

Amount of money that will provide an entire family with food for a day in Nepal, where a recent earthquake has killed thousands of people and affected millions more. PokerStars and Full Tilt have set up a ‘Nepal Earthquake Relief’ fund and pledged to match all player contributions as was the case for Typhoon Haiyan relief fund in 2013, which raised more than $560,000. Number of Sunday Billion titles won by ‘3Double3D’ in the PokerStars play money weekly headline tournament. Incredibly, it was back to back victories, with the American player winning a total of nearly 150 million play money chips in total. He joins Team PokerStars Pro Barry ‘barryg1’ Greenstein as one of only two players to win two Sunday Billion titles.


Earlier this week another PokerStars player hit the max multiplier in the special $5 Spin & Go period, winning $1m. The player, ‘bladsonpoker’ from Poland, was captured winning the tournament in the photo above.

Coverage of the EPT Grand Final begins today at, with the three-day Super High Roller airing April 30 to May 2, the FPS final table being broadcast on May 3, before the EPT Main Event coverage begins on Day 2 (May 4) and goes through to its conclusion on May 8. All the final tables will be cards-up on a short delay.
