On September 20, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) will host its first ever $51,000 Super High Roller tournament. This Saturday’s VIP Big Bash will see one player win a seat in the tournament to play alongside Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu and Ike Haxton, and other well-known high rollers. Satellites for the VIP Big Bash are running now starting at just 50 FPP.

Peak viewers of Team PokerStars Pro Jason Somerville’s Twitch channel on Monday night, as he final-tabled a WCOOP-07 for a cash of just over $38k. It was a record for Somerville’s channel, for poker on Twitch, and was the #1 most viewed channel on Twitch for an extended period of time on September 7, maintaining over 20,000 viewers for five consecutive hours.

First prize won by local player Jindrich Springl in the PokerStars.net King’s Cup Main Event which was held in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. Springl beat a field of 493 to capture the title and take home €22,920 from the €200,000 total prize pool.

PokerStars and leading men’s health charity Prostate Cancer UK are joining forces for a special one-night event in a bid to raise awareness and funds to help beat prostate cancer. Lads Night In, taking place on Friday September 25, 2015, is aimed at bringing friends in the UK and Isle of Man together to hold a poker home game and help raise money for a great cause while having fun. Participants are encouraged to donate the prize pool from their home game to Prostate Cancer UK.
