Guaranteed prize pool for the most prestigious and richest tournament of the online poker year – the WCOOP Main Event – which takes place this Sunday, September 27 at 14.30 ET. The buy-in is $5,200, although a range of satellites are running around the clock that provide entry to the tournament at much lower cost. The tournament is a three-day event for the first time, raising the profile of the final table, which will take place on Tuesday, Sep 29 at 14.30 ET (19.30 BST; 20.30 CET).

First place prize won by Ben ‘Ben86’ Tollerene in online poker’s largest buy-in tournament on Monday night. The American pro, playing from Canada, topped a field of 46 players, who each paid the $51,000 entry fee. He fought off the challenge of Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz and Mike “Tîmex” McDonald, who came sixth and fifth respectively, before going on to defeat José Ángel “Cejakas14” Latorre heads-up.

Top prize scooped by Mario Lopez in the LAPT Uruguay Main Event, which came to a finish on Tuesday. The Argentinian topped a field of 267 players to win his second LAPT title – one of only four players to do the double. He picked up his first at LAPT7 Chile last year.

Buy-in for the UKIPT Isle of Man Main Event, which takes place from October 1-4 at the Villa Marina, Douglas. There are a total of 14 events spread across the five-day festival. In addition the PokerStars Isle of Man International Chess Tournament runs from October 2-11 and is set to be one of the strongest open tournaments in the world. There will also be free-to-attend 3D projection and lighting shows to mark the 10-year anniversary of PokerStars being on the Isle of Man from September 30 to October 3 from 8pm each evening (8.30pm on Oct 3 – with additional fireworks finale) at the Villa Marina Gardens.

Events won by reigning EPT Player of the Year Dzmitry Urbanovich at last season’s Malta festival – a record haul for a player at an EPT festival. The tour returns to Malta for Season 12 from October 20-31, with a schedule of 76 tournaments. Highlights include the €1,100 IPT Main Event (Oct 21-25), €25k High Roller (Oct 23-25), and €5,300 EPT Main Event (Oct 25-31).
