is it just me....

.....or can somebody relate. I try to follow all the advice about starting hands etc. and position and bet sizes and I get to play about 3% of the hands dealt to me for the first few hours of a turney. Then my chip stack is pretty non existant and I'll get AA or KK and put in 4 or 5 x the BB if I'm first in, push if not, and get either raised or 5 callers. But lose, whichever way it happens. I read hitman and others pieces about how this will happen to them for several tournaments in a row. And the key then is to keep from going on tilt.

This goes on for months. Then I'll have a few days where I'll flop the nutz and someone in front of me
pushes with a bigger stack and a 4% chance of hitting their hand and then hits the miracle ie runner runner 6's for quads and blow me out of the game. mind you this will happen 3 or 4 turneys in a row. then back to getting nothing for up to six months. I keep wondering what I am doing so completely wrong....I know that is a form of tilt but there it is. What else can I wonder?  This sounds like a big exageration I'm sure, but it is not. The beatings are unbelievable, but sadly no longer surprising. I have gone back to the basics, back to the books, back to play money (winning like crazy there...go figure),back to PSO, reinforcing what I think I know. But what I am reinforcing is ..."what is it that I think I know??"

Anybody got any ideas or suggestions?? Don't say quit. It's not my way.
