#1 Progress so far

So far the challenge has been more difficult than expected, as I am starting with a much smaller bankroll than what I have in the past. However I have managed to turn the initial $50 into $300. Initially I started playing PLO cash on PStars and FTilt, and quickly built it to $100. From there 2 top 100 finishes for $90 in the $1 rebuy ($60K Gtd) (only played it a dozen times), deep runs in the Sunday Spark, 18th in Saturday Micro and several strong performaces in the $2.20 8-Game. In this time I have earnt about 1200 VPPs. Overall so far I would like to think I played well, just been getting unlucky as I go deep (losing 1010 vs 33, AK to A8 and then QQ vs AQ to be eliminated in Saturday Micro for example) but that is tournament poker, and I believe I have learnt from these experiences. As much as they hurt, I have made some errors too esp in $1 rebuy where knew I was making bad calls for my tournament life.

Anyway since all of this I have been looking back at my play, and coming up with my own tournament schedule, determining what tournament structures suit me, what fits in with my work and uni schedule etc. I have also experienced a set back as part of the challenge was to use my funds to purchase some HUD software, and I felt I needed it especially for SCOOP.

So after purchasing this software it went back down to $30, however I have quickly turned it back to $75. Since then I have played a couple events of SCOOP as it is also a very busy time of year for me as well. But I have ensured to take advantage of the structure and schedule to boost my bankroll, but save that for my next entry in a couple days, I am now off to enter SCOOP 24-L NLHE/PLO. Hope to you at the tables
